Two years after the new 'work capability test' was introduced, what's it like for those who go through the assessment? But that is really bull dust as a lot of people that are severely disabled are being forced back to work by private companies employed by The Government to get 2 million people off IB. There is no way that anyone who is blind with severe arthritis can work. Also it was only after appeal a woman who got zero points in her Work Capacity Assessment despite being in severe pain and in a wheel chair got her money reinstated and was awarded 30 points. You need 15 to qualify. Now mistakes do happen but to go from zero to 30 points well something is wrong. 'Too crude' In order to qualify for employment support allowance, people like Katherine have to be assessed by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). After filling in a form, most claimants are asked to attend a "work capability assessment". So watch the rest of this video to hear my views and comment if you agree or let me know why you disagree. The Full Story: The Government was defeated in the House of Lords after bishops tabled an amendment to the Welfare Bill proposing that child benefit is excluded from the cap. It was backed by a majority of 15. The amendment, which was backed by dozens of Liberal Democrat peers, threatens to wreck the entire concept of the cap. People living in benefit-dependent households were urged by the Prime Minister to "go out and work" rather than complain about the loss of welfare payments. David Cameron said that living on welfare had become an "acceptable alternative" to working and suggested that benefit payments were too easy to receive. The cap has been set at the same level as the average family's earnings and ministers insist that it is unfair that taxpayers must subsidise those receiving more from the state than typical employees earn. Speaking before the Lords debate, the Prime Minister sought to echo Norman Tebbit, the former Conservative minister, who told unemployed people to "get on your bike" in 1981. Trouble Something has been bugging me. Just lately the government, governments have been talking about austerity, talking about tightening the belt. Obviously that is not good, not happy about it at all. There is always plenty of money for wars. There is always plenty of money for politicians who get a big, big wage. They get alot of money and that is without expenses. With the expenses on top they have a rediculous amount of money. Just their wages alone is about five times more than mine, but with the perks they get on top, it's obscene, it's wrong. "We are all in it together" rubbish! We are not all in it together. Some of us are in it and some of us are not. Most of us: The general hard working people are going to have some problems if these austerity measures take a hold, because it is the poorest people who get hit the hardest and I am sick of the government, politicians, talking about the unemployed taking tax payers money. It is not a happy life to be unemployed, when politicians take tax payers money and their lives are vastly improved because they get such alot of money. And they keep calling themselves honourable, the right honourable this, the right honourable that. Well just how honourable are politicians? In my book they are parasites. Those four video spots illustrate the activities of the Economic and Social Fund for Development (ESFD) which operates through two components: Job Creation and Community Development. The Job Creation component has helped Oussama (the farmer) and Shadia (owner of beauty center) to get loans and improve their small and medium sized businesses, creating new jobs and improving their income. The Community Development component has financed the planning and execution of 64local development projects in 70 vulnerable villages in Lebanon. Enhancing the Tripoli Mina for Fishermen and setting up the handcrafts workshop for women in Kweishra (Akkar) constitute two sample projects undertaken by the ESFD. The Economic and Social Fund for Development (ESFD) is a permanent poverty alleviation entity funded by the European Union and supported by the Government of Lebanon.
